By tapping the "Check In To Building", the User is asked to user the Clients' respective Check In method to prove they are at the correct site. Depending on the Client, the User will have to perform one of the following to proceed:
- Bluetooth
- GPS
- QR Code
Bluetooth
Using the Bluetooth function allows the User to use the internal Bluetooth functions of their device to locate the Bluetooth beacon located at the site. Upon opening this page, a list of available Bluetooth devices within the areas will be displayed (the range of the devices depends on the Client configuration). Once the scan has finished, the User is able to pick the relevant from the list. Doing so will then return the User to the previous page and specify that they are now checked into that site. If this was done through any list, the results will be filtered to only show items for the checked in Building.
GPS
Using the GPS function allows the User to use the internal GPS functions of their device to find the GPS coordinates of the site. Upon opening this page, the app will look for any Buildings whose GPS coordinates match the Mobiles current coordinates. A list of available Buildings within the areas will be displayed (the range of the devices depends on the Client configuration). Once the scan has finished, the User is able to pick the relevant from the list. Doing so will then return the User to the previous page and specify that they are now checked into that site. If this was done through any list, the results will be filtered to only show items for the checked in Building.
QR Code
Using the QR Code function allows the User to use the Mobile Device's Camera to scan the QR Code at site. Upon this page opening, the Mobile Device's Camera will be started up and a a red line will be displayed. All that is required here is for the User to point the camera over the QR Code for the Building. The application will then scan the code and once the scan has finished, the User is returned to the previous page and the system specifies that they are now checked into that site. If this was done through any list, the results will be filtered to only show items for the checked in Building.
Note: If none of the Check In methods above are required but the action is still present, this means that "Manual" has been selected. This means that no Check In is required and the User can progress with the work as normal.
Note: To exit the Scan Into Building page without scanning into a Building, tap the "<" button to return to the previous page. In some cases, the User may not be able to perform the desired Check In method for one reason or another (such as the no devices being found when the scan finishes). This will then display the "I Can't Use..." button, which will depend on what Check In method is being used. Tapping this will then progress to the next Check In method if possible.
Note: If the Check In method used is not the approved method by the Client, a message will appear stating this which will be recorded on any invoices submitted to this Work Order.
