During the Create Work Order process, it is also possible to determine the “Resource” that the User wishes to perform the Work Order. This can be done on the Resource screen. This screen displays a list of “Resources” in the system that are capable of performing the Work Order from which the User can select from. A “Resource” may have an agreed SLA time due to them being contracted to this type of Work Order for the selected Building and, if that is the case, this “Resource” will be selected automatically. However it is still possible to override this decision by selecting another “Resource” from the list.

Once the “Resource” has been selected, click <Next> to proceed with the Work Order creation.

Note: If the Work Order is Asset based the Resource that covers the Warranty for the Asset is present, it will be shown with a yellow background.

The “Resource” tab is permission controlled and will only be displayed when the User has the corresponding permissions. If the permissions are not against the Users Profile then the “Resource” will chosen automatically.

Note: If the Work Order is created and is Out of Hours at the point of creation, the system will display a message stating that the Work Order is out of hours for the “Resource” and that they should be contacted via phone.
