Remedial Works Required
After a ‘Planned’ work order (previously known as Planned Preventative Maintenance/PPM) has been completed, it is possible that there may also be additional works required to remedy a failure situation, meaning a Reactive work order needs to be raised. The original Planned visit work order must be in status complete on the system to raise a remedial via the Portal. This can be done using the ‘Remedial Works Required’ action.
After completing a ‘Planned’ work order, the Remedial Works pop up will be displayed. By clicking ‘<Yes> the Creative Reactive Job (Remedial Works) page will be displayed whereas clicking <No> will display the Job Detail page.
If <No> was clicked in error, or it was identified at a later date a Remedial work order is required, this can still be done from the Job Detail page of a completed Planned work order by using the
This function can also be accessed by opening the Job Detail page for a completed PPM and selecting the ‘Remedial Works Required’ action.
Upon clicking the <Remedial Works Required> action, an extension menu from this button will appear with options for both ‘Reactive’ and ‘Quote’ remedial works. Simply select either <Reactive> or <Quote> by clicking on the corresponding icon. Follow the process for the create job as in either ‘Create Reactive Job - Single Screen View’ or ‘Create Quote Job’ dependant on the choice you have made.
Whilst in the creation process page title will be either ‘Create Reactive Job (Remedial Works)’ or ‘Create Quote Job (Remedial Works)’. This allows you to know what type of remedial work order you are creating.
The Remedial Works process then follows the normal Create Job process. The only differences in the Remedial Works process is that there are restrictions on the data that can be used. These restrictions are: the Building where the PPM took place is selected by default (and cannot be changed) and the Fault/Issue is limited to what was on the PPM but anything under the Fault/Issue can be selected as well (which will also affect the Assets that can be selected for the job). For example: selecting to create a Remedial job where the PPM was for a Passenger Lift will only allow the User to select Passenger Lift or anything under Passenger Lift (such as the Car, Emergency Phone, Control Panel etc.) as the Fault/Issue.
Following completion of a remedial work order, if the completion of works means that the original fail certificate can now be considered a pass certificate, the User may be required to complete one of two actions.
- Set Fail to Pass: A prompt could appear to the user on completion of the remedial work order (and the action is available on the remedial following closure) to make the initial fail certificate a pass. This is confirming that the remedial works have been completed to the standard required, and the originally supplied certificate can now therefore be considered a pass certificate.
- Add a Clean Certificate: In certain circumstances, setting the original certificate to a “pass” status is not enough. Some Clients will require the provision of a new, clean certificate, i.e. a pass certificate that completely replaces the original fail certificate. Clean certificate simply means the provision of a pass certificate to replace a previously supplied fail certificate following remedial completion.
